Bollywood and Social Media:

Bollywood in the past year has been seen integrating social media with movie releases in order to measure the pulse of the fans before the launch. And with the Bollywood movie stars having being the most followed celebrities on Facebook/Twitter, social media marketing is a necessary extension of their movie promotion. With Shahrukh and Deepika already tweeting their experiences on the sets of Chennai Express, the movie is already making sure their fans are updated around ‘behind the scenes’ happening of the movie. However, it remains to be seen if the new tribute video to Rajnikanth would be well received by hardcore Rajnikanth fans on social media or not.
