Great info. I’ve found Google alerts to be mostly static and completely different than normal google search results. Also check out wikiwatch.me for Wikipedia monitoring.

I am happy that you liked the article @michaelcale:disqus Wikiwatch looks like a interesting concept, let me have a look. Thanks for sharing :)

The list looks incomplete without Simplify360. Not only it has been used by big brands, but it is also being used extensively used by reputed BPOs for Social CRM purpose.

    • http://blog.digitalinsights.in/ Harsh Ajmera

I really don’t think so @disqus_dj9nJrn4qG:disqus, I have used Simplify360 around a year back and didn’t find much differentiations. You can shout-out new features at harsh[at]digitalinsights.in

      • Prashant Jain

Harsh, you might want to check the tool now. We have added many new features. Will send you the list of new additions by mail.

looking forward to it Prashant :)

  • Athikur Rehman

The article is very useful. I have been using Radian6 since more than 3 years, and I bet it is the best tool in the industry. I had seen a demo of UberVU a couple of years back, did not find it a match to Radian6. Do you have any recent comparison between the two? Please share.

    • http://blog.digitalinsights.in/ Harsh Ajmera

Thanks Athikur Rehman for the kind words. I am not sure when you saw the uberVU demo but recently the tool got a makeover and looks much better than the previous version.

When you talk about comparison, Radian6 is a matured tool and that is why its not fit for all. I have heard this from many business owners that they get confused while using the tool. That’s a major drawback, people like you know how to gel with it but not everybody.

Well, since you are a ORM Specialist, you might also like to contribute on DI http://blog.digitalinsights.in/contribute

        I will surely contribute.

      Hi Athikur,

Harsh is right when he says a lot has changed for uberVU over the past couple of years – you should definitely take another look! Feel free to request a demo at http://www.uberVU.com/demo. One major advantage I think uberVU has over Radian6 (and I’ll admit, I am a little biased, being the social media manager here at uberVU) are its speed–uberVU is built in HTML5, not Flash like Radian6, so we’re able to load results faster, process big social data in real-time, and generally do things at the speed a social media marketer needs them. Happy to discuss specific features as well, if you have other questions!

      Thanks,

Totally agree with Elisabeth on the speed thing, uberVU works smoothly. And as I said, the new user interface is very good.

Very useful article. Great help for everyone who starts managing online reputation. It’s so good to know good tools from the beginning.
But I think that here one is missing. BRAND24 which is really easy to use, nice, and efficient tool for social listening. It’s really helpful and beautiful solution for managing online reputation, internet monitoring, and analyses. And I think that would be my first suggestion for beginners. Recommend trying!

  • Palash Goorha

Thats a great article Harsh. I have used most of the tools mentioned here. There is one tool which also needs to be mentioned – Konnect Insights. Would be glad to arrange a demo for you. Cheers :)
